About me

Hey there, Ato here. I thought I might just tell a little bit about myself in a remote corner of this website. My birth name is Arturo Perez Adroher, although I go by the artist name of Ato Perez. Why? Well, when I was a child everybody always called me Ato and while choosing an artist name, that one felt good. I was born in Madrid (Spain), as the little one of four. In Madrid, I stayed till my 20s when I moved to Denmark (Copenhagen) and soon after to The Netherlands (Amsterdam) where I’m currently based.

Music has always been a big part of my life, since I was a child when I grabbed my first Spanish guitar. Fifteen years after it became my profession. Now I perform, write, record and produce music: own albums, soundtracks, sounds and more. It is difficult to describe my music in a few sentences, I always find it better to just listen. However, there is certainly a lot of Spanish classical guitar around all my work.
